It was considered a unicorn the second the news of its launch became known. We are talking about the Nautilus 5711/1A-018, a limited edition of 170 pieces, which watchmaker Patek Philippe has created in collaboration with American jeweller Tiffany & Co. The Swiss watchmaker has had a longstanding relationship with Tiffany & Co., one that spans 170 years. To commemorate the same, the two have joined hands to create the Nautilus 5711/1A-018, which flaunts a Tiffany blue dial.

Aesthetically speaking, this special 40mm steel timepiece comes with the famous Tiffany blue dial, featuring stamps from both Patek Philippe at 12 o’clock and Tiffany & Co. at 6 o’ clock, today making the jeweller the world’s only retailer whose name appears on a Patek Philippe dial. A signature to the Nautilus, the watch has a horizontal relief embossing. There is a date window 3 o’clock, and the sapphire caseback bears the inscription ‘170th Anniversary 1851-2021 Tiffany & Co. – Patek Philippe’. The watch has a steel link bracelet with fold-over clasp.
On the inside, the watch is powered by the self-winding caliber 26-330 S C, a movement that features a stop-seconds mechanism that allows the time to be set with one-second accuracy; the power reserve is anywhere between 35 to 45 hours. The winding rotor is made in 21 karat gold with unidirectional winding, and the watch is water resistant to 120 mts.
The timepiece will be available exclusively in Tiffany boutiques in New York, Beverly Hills, and San Francisco that carry Patek Philippe. Tiffany & Co. will also be auctioning off one of the commemorative watches with Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo on December 11, 2021, with 100 per cent of proceeds benefitting The Nature Conservancy, a global environmental organization.
