Geneva Watch Days 2022: Oris presents new Divers Sixty-Five

Oris's renowned Calibre 400 has been a part of a number of timepieces by the brand. It has now been used to power the latest Divers Sixty-Five 12H Calibre 400, released at Geneva Watch Days 2022
Introduced in 2020, the Calibre 400 has undoubtedly been a game changer for Oris. With a power reserve of five days, anti-magnetism, and a warranty of 10 years, the movement is quite popular among watch enthusiasts and critics alike and has powered a host of timepieces by the brand. Now at Geneva Watch Days 2022, Oris has unveiled a new model of its well-known Divers Sixty-Five, featuring the in-house Calibre 400 for the first time.

The latest iteration of Divers Sixty-Five is powered by Calibre 400

The Oris Divers Sixty-Five 12H Calibre 400 measures a compact 40mm and is presented in an ergonomically designed stainless steel case. Sitting atop is the updated bidirectional bezel, crafted from black aluminium, that now comes with the 12-hour scale, which can be used for tracking a second-time zone without requiring a specific GMT or world-time complication. Meanwhile, the new Oris watch is equipped with a double-domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating to protect its display, while a sapphire exhibition caseback showcases the movement.

The matt black dial of the Oris Divers Sixty-Five 12H Calibre 400 is clean and aesthetically pleasing. Besides a central, three-hand timekeeping system, it also features a date aperture at the six o’clock position and silver-coloured hour indices. The hands and markers have been generously coated with Super-LumiNova for perfect legibility even in low light conditions.

The new Oris Divers Sixty-Five comes with an exhibition caseback

As mentioned before, the new Oris watch is powered by the Calibre 400 that is equipped with twin barrels, both of which house an extended mainspring, each long enough to store two-and-a-half days of power. Not only this, the movement also has a uniquely designed rotor with a sliding-friction clip system which reduces its wear and tear as it rotates around a fixed pivot that only winds in one direction.

The watch features a black aluminium bezel with 12-hour scale

The Oris Divers Sixty-Five 12H Calibre 400 is paired with either an elegant black leather strap with a steel pin buckle or a steel bracelet that comes with a folding clasp.
