Speake-Marin adds rose gold and titanium to Openworked Tourbillon lineup

The Geneva-based watchmaker Speake-Marin has expanded its Openworked Tourbillon lineup with two models - one in matte black DLC-treated titanium and the other in pink gold.
Speake-Marin first launched its Openworked Tourbillon in 2019, with the signature configuration of a tourbillon at 1:30. Now taking the Openworked Tourbillon line to the next level, the watchmaker has launched four new expressions of the watch in two case metals: Matte slack DLC-treated titanium and rose gold, each in both 38mm and 42mm case sizes. All four iterations are limited to 10 of each.

The black-grey-toned dialled watch gets drilled lugs with a polished or glossy finish in the metal, matching the case and bezel with a black minute track. The watch’s 72-hour power reserve indicator appears at 7:30 with the brand’s name, and the micro rotor at 5 o’clock. The signature flying tourbillon with a polished case and a bridge shaped like the watchmaker’s logo sits at 1:30 and the barrel opposite to it bears the name 'One&Two Openworked Tourbillon'.

The dial also comes with heart-shaped hour hand, and a minute hands
with SuperLumiNova, a slim crown at 3 o’clock in black or pink gold, and a matching finish on the dial. The dial is black and openworked, and reveals the in-house movement, the in-house self-winding Calibre SMA05 that was launched in 2020. Turning the watch over reveals the sapphire crystal caseback with an anti-reflective coating, eight visible screws, and engraving of ‘Speake-Marin’ and ‘One&Two’.

The Calibre SMA05 movement gets a matte finish, and beneath the anti-reflective coat on the sapphire crystal, reveals the traditional decorations like Cotes de Geneve, circular-graining, and thin chamfers with elements of beadblasting as well.
