TAG Heuer showcases new Formula 1 Chronograph in three colours

Started in 1950, the Formula 1 race is the highest professional motor racing competition in the world. Grand Prix races are held all over the world on both purpose-built tracks and closed public roads. The first collection from TAG Heuer that bore the F1 'TAG' was launched in 1986 and has had countless chronograph iterations featuring both quartz and mechanical calibers. For 2022, TAG Heuer has unveiled three striking new colours for the Formula 1 Chronograph - Red, yellow, and green - in 43mm stainless steel.

The newly launched chronographs fall under the affordable line-up but are created for extreme sports. The watch comes with a PVD-coated bezel, crown, and pushers at 2 o'clock and at 4 o’clock. The dial has a sunburst finishing, with a small seconds black sub-dial at 3 o’clock with rhodium-plated hands; a 1/10th of a second black sub-dial at 6 o’clock also with rhodium-plated hands; and a 30-minute black sub-dial at 9 o’clock with a date window at 4 o’clock.

Ref. CAZ101AP features a green dial, black hands, black hourmarkers, a white lacquered central hand, and red circled chronograph sub-dials, while Ref. CAZ101AM features a yellow sunray brushed dial, black hands, black hour and minute hands, and a red lacquered central hand. Ref. CAZ101AN gets a red sunray brushed dial with bar-shaped hour markers with an Arabic 12 o'clock, and white lacquered central hand with white chronograph counters. White Super-LumiNova® and rhodium-plated hands and hour markers are standard on all models.

The other feature that distinguishes the three watches is the minute track - the yellow-dial watch gets a black periphery with a yellow marking and a red 60-minute numbering. The red and green-dialed watches also get a black periphery with a white minute track and a red 60-minute numbering.

The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph is powered by a quartz movement, and turning the watch over reveals the stainless-steel screw-down checkered-flag motif caseback. The new collection has a 200 meter water resistance, along with a rubber strap that matches the colour of the dial and a brushed steel pin buckle with TAG Heuer engraving.
