So far TAG Heuer and Porsche have collaborated to bring five sporty timepieces, and expressing their love for racing with a sixth special edition timepiece is the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Porsche Orange Racing.
Based on the famous Carrera Sport Chronograph, the debutante is powered by the self-winding in-house Caliber Heuer 02, which is manufactured at TAG Heuer’s Chevenez facility. Consisting of 168 parts, it features a column wheel and a vertical clutch for precise measurement and offers a power reserve of 80 hours. Its customized rotor mimics a steering wheel and comes to life through the exhibition case back.
As a symbol for speed and racing, the orange colour that is inscribed in the name, accentuates the Porsche logo on the bezel, the lacquer on the crown and various details on the dial, such as the “azuré” counters and the seconds hand, as well as the stitching of the textured black calfskin leather strap. The bright colour makes for bold contrasts with the DLC-treated stainless steel case which measures 44mm in diameter, is water resistant to 100 meters, and boasts a ceramic tachymeter bezel for measuring distances.
The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Porsche Orange Racing is available to buy and is priced at INR 5,80,000 (approx).
