Geneva Watch Days 2023: The UR-100 gets a bejewelled iteration in the Stardust

The new futuristic watch Urwerk UR-100V Stardust features 400 diamonds in snow setting on its steel case
Wearing an Urwerk is nothing short of sporting a spaceship-like watch on your wrist. In shape, size, form, and even function, Urwerks have an otherworldly charm. Case in point is the UR-100 – the watch not only the signature wandering hours mechanism, but also features a kilometre counter representing the distance travelled by the Earth on its own axis in 20 minutes, i.e. 555 km, and another counter showing the distance travelled by the Earth around the Sun during the same period - 35,740 km. Now this futuristic timepiece has a heavily jewelled iteration – the UR-100V Stardust.

The UR-100V Stardust’s steel case, which measures 41mm x 49.7mm x 14mm is snow-set with 400 diamonds (nearly 1.90K). Aside of this, the minutes scale – located on the upper part of the railway-type track– features 36 diamonds. Diamonds can also be found on the watch crown. The watch has a Baltimore blue fabric strap, and its steel pin buckle is enhanced by two rows comprising 11 diamonds each.

The watch is powered by the self-winding UR 12.02 movement regulated by URWERK’s Planetary Turbine Automatic System, beating at 4Hz, and with a two-day power reserve. The UR-100V Stardust is water-resistant to 30 metres. The watch is limited to 10 pieces a year, and priced at CHF 88,000.
