The Reservoir X Popeye Cricket, a limited edition for India, has the cartoon character wielding a bat

In a launch that is timed perfectly amidst the ongoing cricket World Cup, Reservoir brings together cricket and the legendary sailor in its signature jumping hours timepiece
There is a different level of enthusiasm when it comes to cricket in India and to commemorate this zeal, Reservoir has unveiled the new Reservoir X Popeye Cricket limited edition watch. The brand has brought two signatures together in the new watch - its jumping hours mechanism and the character of Popeye the sailor, which first appeared in the early part of this year in its collaborative piece with Label Noir - in which the sport of cricket adds a new dimension.
The sporty timepiece features a 41.5mm brushed stainless steel case with a brightly painted dial depicting Popeye wearing a blue cap and jersey and holding a cricket bat in a cricket stadium. There are accents of orange on the uniform, white Arabic numerals, a retrograde minute hand that activates every 60-minute and jumping hour complication. The dial is topped with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal.

Keeping the design elements of the iconic character and the profoundly loved sport, the Reservoir X Popeye Cricket pays tribute to the impenetrable bond between India and cricket.
The brand has integrated Popeye specifically because it is one of the most loved comic book characters and brings with him a sense of nostalgia, resilience, bravery, and determination.
Powering the timepiece is the automatic Calibre RSV-240, which is developed in collaboration with TELOS, a Swiss engine manufacturer . Limited to only 100 pieces, the watch boasts a power reserve of about 50-hours. On the caseback, there is an exclusive ‘Popeye’ character and cricket bats and ball painted on the case.
Finishing the watch is a black Nubuck leather strap with black stitching and a blue wax side on which is a stitched Indian flag. The timepiece has a screwdown crown and is water-resistant up to 50 metres. Each numbered model is presented in a white wooden box with an image of "The Popeye Family" (© 2022 King Features Syndicate ™ Hearst Holdings, Inc.) and a special embroidery in honour of Popeye.
