Czapek has launched a brand new Promenade collection for Watches and Wonders Geneva 2024, for which it has reinvented the dial decorative techniques. Also released are two new Antarctique models - Antarctique Green Meteor and Antarctique Passage de Drake Afterglow.
Czapek Promenade
Czapek Promenade The new Promenade collection aims to harness both style and elegance. For now, there are two references unveiled. One is the Promenade Goutte d'Eau (which means drops of water), a 100-piece limited edition, featuring a Grand-feu enamel dial in sapphire blue, made in collaboration with Donzé Cadrans, the Ulysse Nardin owned enamel workshop. The dial represents an illusion of water ripples coming out from the small seconds located at 4:30.
Czapek Promenade The other is Promenade Guilloché Ivoire, featuring an ivory coloured secret alloy and handmade guilloché dial, made in collaboration with the brand’s long-term partner Matalem. Its dial entails the ‘Soleil’ guilloché pattern, where the seconds sub-dial at 4:30 depicts the sun and the finely cut guilloché sun rays radiate from it. Other than that, the dials are minimal, featuring semi-skeletonised hands.
"With watches as with people, the dial - or face - reveals so much of the character on first encounter," says Xavier de Roquemaurel, CEO Czapek & Cie., "And our choice of the watch we wear reveals a little of our soul”. “We love to play with colour, techniques and materials, so the Promenade is not just a timekeeping instrument but also a canvas for creative expression."
Czapek Promenade Paying a tribute to the original Quai des Bergues model, both the watches are encased in a 38mm stainless steel case, and are fitted with dark blue and beige nubuck leather. Additionally, the watches are offered with a grey or beige strap and a Milanese bracelet. Visible from the caseback is the brand’s in-house automatic calibre SXH5, which was originally developed for the Antarctique collection. Further the caseback reveals a micro rotor with a recycled platinum mass, movement plate, and bridges. The novelties boast around 60-hour power reserve.
Czapek Promenade Caseback The Promenade Goutte d'Eau is priced at Rs. 16,58,000 (approx.), while the price of the Promenade Guilloché Ivoire is upon request.
Czapek Antarctique
Czapek Antarctique The brand has recently released the very first Antarctique in gold - Mount Erebus Deep Blue, and is now expanding the line with two new 40.5mm stainless steel models. One is Antarctique Green Meteor, a no-date model, and the other is Antarctique Passage de Drake Afterglow, featuring a green polished lacquered dial made with Gibeon iron meteorite, which is known for its Widmanstatten pattern, and a purple stamped flinque dial with officially registered ‘Stairway to Eternity’ pattern. Further the dials have lume applied steel sword hands and a date window at 6 o’clock (purple dial model).
The watches are equipped with the same in-house automatic calibre SXH5 that drives the new Promenade collection, and are finished with an integrated stainless steel bracelet. Additionally, calf leather or rubber straps are also offered.
Czapek Antarctique Antarctique Green Meteor is priced at Rs. 23,03,000 (approx.) and the Antarctique Passage de Drake Afterglow is priced at Rs. 21,19,000 (approx.)
