Montblanc unveils two Star Legacy Limited editions models in green

The new models include an Automatic Date and a Chronograph Day & Date with green guilloché dials
Montblanc’s Star Legacy line was first launched in 1997, inspired by its popular writing instrument Meisterstück, and vintage pocket watches, and its distinguishing feature is the brand's white star logo on the crown, created in 1913, and inspired by a bird’s eye view of the Mont Blanc Mountain with its six snow-covered glacier valleys. Last year in June, the brand welcomed five new additions across two sub-line - Blue Exploding Star and Grey Capsule - inspired by the parent collection and different viewpoints of the mountains respectively. Now, the brand has revealed two new Star Legacy Limited editions - Automatic Date (Ref. 132948) and a Chronograph Day & Date (Ref. 132950) featuring green guilloché dials.

Both newly introduced models are limited edition of 800 pieces, encased in a 43mm stainless steel topped with polished and satin-finishing scratch-resistant, domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. Like the other watches in the line, these novelties also feature the Montblanc emblem on the crown.

The green dial with guilloché-style exploding star pattern of automatic date version has a green flange with white minute markers, rhodium-coated Roman hour markers and seconds hand, and white luminous rhodium-coated sword-shaped hour and minute hands. There is a date window at 3 o'clock. Also, the watch is incorporated with small luminescent dots after every five minutes and orange markings after every 15 minutes. The open caseback reveals an automatic in-house Calibre MB 24.17, with 38 hours of power reserve.

The dial aesthetics of this model are identical to the aforementioned watch, but since it’s a chronograph, it’s case has pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock, and the dial entails a 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock, 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, 60-seconds at 9 o’clock, and a day-date window at 3 o’clock. Powering this version is another in-house Calibre MB 25.07 with 48 hours of autonomy.

The novelties are finished either with stainless steel bracelets or green calf leather straps.
