G-Shock and Indian fashion label Almost Gods collaborate to create a limited edition G-Shock

Last night was the official launch of the limited edition Almost Gods x G-Shock in India at the Almost Gods’ studio in New Delhi. Almost Gods is a Delhi-based Indian fashion label founded by Dhruv Khurana in 2018, whose theme revolves around history and mythology. G-Shock's collaboration with it marks the first time that it has partnered with an Indian brand.

The new Almost Gods x G-Shock Ref. GA2100AG24-1A1 is a 250-piece limited edition, which, interestingly, sold out in an early access sale. Measuring 48.5mm × 45.4mm × 11.8mm, this timepiece features a carbon case structure. The black dial features hour markers, hands, week counter, and time and date display and functions like world time, double LED light, calendar, stopwatch, alarms, are similar to the brand’s prior models in GA-2100 series.

The essence of the collaboration can be seen in the strap, which features a design inspired by a two-tailed dragon, a mythological symbol of strength, balance, and protection, and volcanic eruptions. The design showcases the moment when a volcano erupts. The strap also has ‘Almost Gods’ written on one side and its logo on the other.

The watch has a battery life of about 3 years, and is water resistant to 200 metres. The timepiece is offered in the same bold themed box, and though sold out, is priced at Rs. 12995
