Breguet’s Valentine’s Day launch: A new Reine de Naples Saint-Valentin 9915

The latest creation by Breguet is a limited edition of 28 pieces
With Valentine's Day approaching, Breguet has added the new Reine de Naples Saint-Valentin 9915 to its iconic Reine de Naples collection. The brand routinely launches pieces dedicated to Valentine’s Day - in the past there have been the Reine de Naples 8925 Valentine's Day edition, Breguet Classique Phase de Lune 9085 Valentine’s Day, the Queen of Naples Valentine’s Day 8905 and more - and the new timepiece keeps up that tradition.

The Reine de Naples is one of the brand’s most popular watch collections for women. The line is inspired by thefirst-ever wristwatch, created by founder Abraham-Louis Breguet for Napoleon’s sister, Caroline Murat, Queen of Naples in 1812. Following the design codes of the line, the new Reine de Naples Saint-Valentin 9915 features a signature ovoid-shaped case, decorated with 97 brilliant-cut diamonds. The crown has a cabochon-cut ruby.

The rehaut is set with 54 brilliant-cut diamonds, while on the mother-of-pearl dial there are 23 brilliant-cut rubies set in a way that it forms a heart between 6 and 7 o’clock, which effortlessly merges with the rehaut. The signature oversized 12 grabs attention, as so the brand’s signature Breguet hands.

Revealed through the sapphire crystal caseback is the automatic Calibre 537/3 which beats at 3.50Hz frequency and provides a power reserve of about 35 hours. The oscillating weight is engraved with ‘Breguet’ and decorated with guilloche. Limited to only 28 pieces, the watch is complemented by a red leather strap with a three-blade deployant clasp, which is studded with 28 brilliant-cut diamonds.
