Celebrated for its minimalist approach to timekeeping,
MeisterSinger introduces two collections: The innovative Kaenos line and a collaboration with legendary watch designer Alain Silberstein.
Meistersinger Kaenos
Derived from the Greek word "kainos" meaning "new" or "fresh", the Kaenos collection represents more than just a new product line—it symbolizes MeisterSinger's evolution in watchmaking. Developed entirely from scratch, the collection marks a strategic departure from the brand's traditionally elegant designs towards a more versatile, sporty aesthetic that appeals to a broader audience of watch enthusiasts.
The launches comprise two primary collections: the Kaenos and the Kaenos Open Date, both sharing a 40-mm stainless steel case. The case's surfaces are meticulously crafted with a combination of polished and brushed finishes, creating a dynamic visual texture that captures and reflects light in an elegant, nuanced manner.
Technologically, the Kaenos models are powered by Swiss-made movements that underscore the brand's dedication to precision. The standard Kaenos utilizes the Sellita SW400 automatic movement, which enables a generously sized date window positioned at 6 o'clock.
The MeisterSinger Kaenos, with the date at 6 The Kaenos Open Date, powered by the Sellita SW200, features a unique date display positioned below the 12 o'clock marker, offering a distinctive take on date presentation. Both movements provide a substantial 38-hour power reserve and are visible through a sapphire exhibition back, allowing enthusiasts to appreciate the mechanical artistry within.
The dial design is particularly noteworthy, constructed with two superimposed layers that create a fascinating three-dimensional effect. The upper layer features numerals and hour markers precisely cut out to reveal a luminous underneath layer, ensuring exceptional readability in various lighting conditions. Another highlight is the integrated bracelet, which flows seamlessly into the case and also features both polished and brushed surfaces.
MeisterSinger Kaenos Open Date CollectionThe new Kaenos collection is water resistant to 100 metres, and come in four dial options in each of the sub-lines: A deep matte midnight black and three sunburst finishes in light grey, ice blue, and petrol.
Alain Silberstein Collaboration: A Collector's Masterpiece
Complementing the Kaenos launch is a collaboration with Alain Silberstein, a designer renowned for challenging conventional watch aesthetics. This partnership produces two limited edition timepieces that merge MeisterSinger's minimalist philosophy with Silberstein's bold, geometric design language.
The first of these is the Grand Date, and the second, the Open Date, each limited to 225 pieces. These 40mm watches feature a jet-black dial that serves as a canvas for Silberstein's creative elements. The signature single-hour hand— a MeisterSinger hallmark—is reimagined in a striking red. A delicate golden second hand adds dynamism, providing a subtle hint of the watch's mechanical complexity.
Distinctive design elements like the golden applied hour markers punctuate the dial at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. The date displays are equally thoughtful—the Grand Date features a recessed golden inner circle, while the Open Date presents a completely exposed date ring, adding depth and visual intrigue to the dial.
MeisterSinger and Alain Silberstein EditionsEven the rotor, visible through the exhibition back, has been meticulously designed in black and gold in harmony with the dial's colour scheme. Each watch comes with specially designed packaging and a personally signed edition booklet by MeisterSinger's founder Manfred Brassler and Alain Silberstein.
