The year 1929 saw the creation of the smallest mechanical movement in the world at the Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Maison located in the heart of the Vallee de Joux. Today, the brand takes this ancestral expertise of merging Fine Watchmaking with High Jewellery a notch higher with stunning pink gold versions of the Joaillerie 101 Reine and the Joaillerie 101 Feuille.

The calibre 101 housed in both the jewellery watches seek inspiration from the famous Duoplan movement which is characterised by its division into two horizontal planes, one on top of the other. Almost a hundred years old, the calibre 101 still remains the smallest mechanical movement in the world, measuring just 14mm x 4.8mm with a thickness of 3.4mm.

Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced the two beauties at the Venice International Film Festival – a perfect match. With 110 pave diamonds, a silvered opaline dial, and two Dauphine hands, both the watches work as enchanting costumes for the mechanism.
