Inspired from the “Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor” watch which was created in honour of the US Naval Aviation Community in 2018, the all new Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN Edition “SFTI” is a beautiful timepiece. Featuring a black ceramic case with a Ceratanium® case back and pushers, the timepiece boasts of a sporty aesthetic that is unmatched.

Following the tradition IWC's TOP GUN watches, the new watch is crafted in a 44mm black zirconium oxide ceramic case with an extraordinary Ceratanium® caseback and pushers. The Ceratanium® is a recent innovation from the Schaffhausen based brand which is as light and durable as titanium. With the presence of a black ceramic case and Ceratanium® caseback and pushers, the watch inherits a matte-black design code that is just plain cool. This tactical look is completed with a matching black dial and white luminescence coated hands. What breaks the monotony of the all-black aesthetic is the small second hand and the tail of the chronograph second hand which is coated in a touch of red.

Working within the watch is the IWC manufactured 69380 calibre – a robust chronograph movement that ensures precise timekeeping. Apart from the time and chronograph function, the movement also offers a date and weekday display. Strapped to a green textile strap, the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Edition “Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor” pays tribute to the TOP GUN collection with the iconic TOPGUN patch on the dial.

While the earlier IWC created “Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor” watch was available only for TOP GUN graduates, the new Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN Edition “SFTI” is limited to 1500 pieces.
