Making a splash this season is the all new Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon. Available in three 41mm references in stainless-steel, titanium and 18-carat pink gold, the new models comes in a refined dial design.
The titanium version is presented in an elegant sandblasted slate grey dial with snailing in periphery . It houses the flying tourbillon window at 6 o' clock and white gold markers and hands. Inspired by the other Royal Oak collection is the stainless steel version which comes in a refined smoked blue “Tapisserie” (Royal Oak's trademark pattern) dial with a sunburst motif that grows from the flying tourbillon cage at 6 o' clock. The third version (18 ct pink gold) offers a contemporary design with a smoke grey sunburst “Tapisserie” dial with pink gold markers and hands.
Another interesting aspect of the new models is the presence of an applied 24-carat gold Audemars Piguet signature – a first in the Royal Oak collection. Crafted from thin layers of gold, the signature is created through a chemical process wherein each letter is connected with each other through s thin link that is almost invisible to the eye.
Apart from the fantastic aesthetics of the timepiece, the new models offers technological advancement like no other. The new watches are powered by Calibre 2950 which is the brand's latest generation of automatic movement with a flying tourbillon released last year.
All versions are available in the brand's hand-finished case and bracelet with the emblematic alternating of satin-brushing and polished chamfers.
