When Jaeger-LeCoultre launched the Reverso line back in 1931, the brand immediately recognised the infinite possibility of the unique design and aesthetic of the timepieces that were created to withstand the rigours of polo matches. Ever since, the Reverso has been created with different dial colours and case sizes catering to the changing trends and needs of the watch world.
Keeping up with this tradition, Jaeger-LeCoultre launched the Reverso Tribute in 2016, inspired not only by the original design codes of the 1931 model but also featuring colourful dial options, beautiful faceted dauphine hands, applied bar indexes, and a small seconds display at 6 o' clock.
For 2021, Jaeger-LeCoultre has expanded its stylistic Reverso Tribute model with a masterfully crafted green dial, a trend much written about this year. The green dial of the new Reverso Tribute Small Seconds is inspired by the deep green of the pine trees that encircle the Miason's home in Vallée de Joux. Its rich tones are brought to light by the use of a sunray-brushed lacquered dial that houses all the signature elements of a Tribute model.
The signature Reverso Tribute features include the applied indexes marking the hours, the Dauphine shaped hands and the circular track found at 6 o' clock that balances the linear geometry of the dial and case. Additionally, the flip of the 45.6 x 27.4 mm steel case opens a blank canvas or caseback that can be customised with engravings and motifs.
Sitting comfortably on the wrist with the help of the signature Casa Fagliano green calf leather strap, the slim 8.5mm case is home to a manually wound in-house mechanical Calibre 822/2 movement. This rectangualr shaped movement offers a power reserve of 42 hours and the hours, minutes and small seconds function.
