Introducing the Hublot MP-09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis Rainbow 3D Carbon

The new Hublot watch offers a rainbow gemstone pattern with the help of coloured composites on its carbon case
The models of the MP collection by Hublot are a perfect combination of revolutionary movements and mind-boggling designs. The Swiss brand has now expanded the range with yet another entirely unique timepiece, the MP-09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis Rainbow 3D Carbon, which comes with a rainbow-coloured gemstone pattern that has been reproduced using coloured composites inserted into the mass of a 3D carbon case.

Usually, the rainbow effect is achieved with the help of natural variations of diamonds, rubies, sapphires, and emeralds. However, Hublot pushed the boundaries of innovation and developed a complete prism of infinite shades to reproduce the brilliance of gemstones by placing hundreds of coloured inserts on the carbon case of the new Hublot MP-09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis Rainbow 3D Carbon.

In a statement about the timepiece, Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO, Hublot, said, “We have mastered Carbon. We have mastered traditional Rainbow setting. But no one was yet to master 3D carbon with the Rainbow effect, quite simply because no one had thought about it. That is what makes Hublot different: we explore the unknown regions of Haute Horlogerie.” He added, “This new ‘MP’ is therefore not just another Manufacture Piece: it embodies what Hublot is. Being first, unique and different. And that will never change.”

Apart from this, the new Hublot watch measures 49mm and is equipped with the manual-winding Calibre HUB9009.H1.RA.B. The movement is the epitome of exceptional performance as it provides a power reserve of up to five days. Coming to the dial of the Hublot MP-09 Tourbillon Bi-Axis Rainbow 3D Carbon, the display consists of a bi-axial tourbillon with one complete rotation per minute for the first axis and a second rotation every 30 seconds for the second axis. The tourbillon complication is placed at six o'clock while there is a power reserve indicator at nine o’clock along with an off-centre sub-dial, which consists of a two-hand timekeeping system.

The new Hublot watch is paired with an alluring rainbow-coloured alligator strap that features a stainless steel deployant buckle clasp. The timepiece is Limited to just eight units.
