When we think music festivals and electronic music, a few known names come to mind like David Guetta and Martin Garrix. Club them together with the land of music, Ibiza, the package is unbeatable. What makes it even better, is if you add the exciting innovation and precision from the world of TAG Heuer. That's exactly what happened in Ibiza.
Resident DJ of Ushuaïa, one of the island's most popular hotels, David Guetta welcomed the Swiss watch brand TAG Heuer to the island, as he got ready to for the famous and long-awaited David Guetta Closing Party. The DJ was also joined by Martin Garrix who made a surprise appearance at the TAG Heuer boutique in Ushuaïa.
David Guetta explains: "The music industry is like watchmaking. It is a fast-changing environment which is constantly reinventing itself. We are constantly challenging ourselves in terms of technology and innovation, we have to be constantly watching the microtrends to pick up on what will be happening tomorrow and convey emotions to our audience."
As a gesture to the fine future of vinyl records, David Guetta also presented an exclusive live remix recorded on vinyl to the Swiss watch brand. This record will be auctioned on the 4th of September as a part of the brand's #MondayMonday auction. All proceeds will be donated to David's chosen charity "Bridges for Music" – an non-profit organisation aimed at bringing together the key players of the music industry to support sustainable development of music in developing countries.
