LVMH Watch Week 2025: At Bulgari, the Serpenti gets a new automatic movement, the Lady Solotempo BVS100

The Bulgari Lady Solotempo BVS100 is an in-house movement designed specifically to meet the needs of the Serpenti
The Serpenti line of women’s watches, inspired by the snake, has long been a flagship one for Bulgari, but the year 2025 has special relevance for it. This being the ‘Year of the Snake’ in the Chinese calendar, Bulgari is celebrating the line with a new in-house automatic movement that is designed to perfectly fit within the snakehead-shaped case – the Lady Solotempo BVS100.

The movement debuts in the Seddutori sub collection of the Serpenti, and also in two Serpenti Tubogas timepieces. Meaning ‘Time Only’, the Solotempo BVS100 was three years in development, and indicates hours, minutes, and seconds. Measuring 19mm in diameter and 3.90mm in thickness, it weighs only 5 grams. Designed in a way so that it fits perfectly into a Serpenti case, its oscillating weight also displays a scale-like motif. Belying its size, it provides a power reserve of 50 hours.

For the time being, the calibre rests inside a slew of the Bvlgari Serpenti Seduttori Automatics in both precious and non-precious metals. The Ref 103898 is a 34mm yellow gold watch with a bezel set with 36 round brilliant-cut diamonds, and a crown set with a cabochon-cut pink rubellite. The watch has a white opaline dial with yellow gold-plated hands and indexes, and a yellow gold bracelet with folding buckle. The movement is visible via a transparent caseback. The Ref. 103899 is a version in rose gold, while Ref. 104058 is an iteration in steel and rose gold. Ref. 104060 and 104062 are in steel, with a white lacquer dial in the former, and a black lacquer dial in the latter.

Refs. 103992 and 103990 are completely diamond studded versions. While the former is cast in a yellow gold case, set with 273 round brilliant-cut diamonds, and features yellow gold plated hands and indexes, the latter is a white gold piece with blue hand and indexes. Finally there are two references of the Bvlgari Serpenti Tubogas Automatic – the difference between the rose gold Refs. 103903 and 103905 is that the former is a single twirl bracelet, while the second a double twirl.

The Lady Solotempo BVS100 is the second movement dedicated to the Serpenti – at the 2022 LVMH Watch Week, Bulgari had debuted the manual-winding Piccolisimo BVL100, one of the smallest mechanical movements available today. In 2020, the brand  had also unveiled the ultra-compact BVL150 Tourbillon, one of the smallest shaped tourbillons on the market, in the Serpenti Seddutori Tourbillon.

The brand has also announced that the Lady Soltempo BVS100 movement is expected to be included in the future catalog of in-house movements available to other LVMH group Maisons and to be manufactured by Zenith in its Movement Manufacture.
