TAG Heuer launches Connected Calibre E4 Golf Edition

The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Golf Edition is a new and improved version of the Connected Golf Edition, which was first unveiled in 2018. The latest TAG Heuer smartwatch not only provides better construction and wearability but also comes with a host of new features.

In a bid to expand their newly launched Connected Calibre E4 collection, the new TAG Heuer smartwatch is a special golf-centric one—a revamped version of the Connected Golf Edition that was first unveiled back in 2018. Offering a completely redesigned interface, slimmer construction and much better wearability, the new TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Golf Edition is equipped with a host of never-seen-before features.

Presented in a 45mm ultralight titanium case, coated in sandblasted black DLC finish, the timepiece consists of a black ceramic bezel that’s marked from one to 18, representing the holes in a course. The OLED touchscreen display has been enhanced to make it easier to control the watch’s golf functions, including high-resolution 2D maps showing hazards and distances on more than 40,000 golf courses around the world. Apart from this, the TAG Heuer smartwatch now features 3D maps technology, which allows the wearer to generate captivating 3D map videos that they can share with their friends once they complete a round.

However, one of the biggest highlights of this new golf edition TAG Heuer smartwatch is its swing detection function. Capable of automatically detecting swings, it allows the wearer to track their performance in the app without having to activate the function by hand. Owing to the watch’s accelerometer and gyroscope, the function exactly knows when the wearer swings on the tee area and it automatically begins to track the shot. Moreover, the swing detection is intertwined with other features of the smartwatch such as the Driving Range feature, which delivers a tracking map for each hole of a course that shows where previous shots have landed.

Aside from all the new functions, the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Golf Edition offers striking new golf-inspired watch faces, including green-accented redesigns of several well-known Connected dial options. Equipped with the robust Qualcomm Snapdragon 4100 Plus smartwatch processor, the timepiece comes with the same 30 per cent increased battery life as the rest of the Calibre E4 collection. The TAG Heuer smartwatch can run for a full day on a 90-minute full charge and five hours when using the golf features.

The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Golf Edition is secured to the wrist with a dimpled white rubber strap that is paired with a uniquely designed buckle—consisting of a magnetic ball marker that’s built into the buckle. The marker is used to mark the position of the player’s golf ball on the green, enabling them to pick up their own ball and allow other players to putt without having their line to the hole obstructed. Decorated with a distinctive TAG Heuer logo, the ball marker can be easily popped out and reattached to the buckle with similar ease.
