Czapek & Cie celebrates 10th anniversary of its revival with two limited models of Time Jumper

The timepiece is powered by the new movement Calibre 10.1 and is a limited edition
A decade after the revival of Czapek & Cie, the Maison marks its 10th anniversary with a creation that bridges its storied past and promises a bold future — the Czapek Time Jumper.

Inspired by the pocket watches crafted by François Czapek himself, the new timepiece encapsulates the brand’s ethos: ‘head in the sky, feet on the ground.’ At its heart lies a jumping hour complication that displays 24 hours on two sapphire discs — one for single digits and the other for tens — complemented by trailing minutes on a rotating peripheral ring. The hours are visible from a central window featuring a bubble-shaped loupe, while the minutes are seen from a retrograde window arc at 6 o’clock.

The ‘flying saucer’ case measures 40.2 mm, reminiscent of Czapek’s original pocket watches. On the half-hunter cover, the brand introduces a three-dimensional guilloché pattern that creates the optical illusion of a black hole. Its “event horizon” doubles as a loupe, allowing a glimpse into the open-worked complication beneath. When the cover is flipped open, the sapphire crystal reveals the entire movement underneath. There is an oval-shaped button that releases the cover at 6 o’clock, polished and rounded lugs, and a recessed crown at 3 o’clock.

At the core of this anniversary celebration is also the creation of new Calibre 10, a base movement born from the Maison’s desire to explore new “timekeeping space” over the next decade. Each future evolution of Calibre 10 will be completely redesigned for its intended complication.

An evolution of this Calibre – Calibre 10.1 – powers the Time Jumper keeping the watch running to 60 hours continuously. It is designed, conceived, and assembled in-house — with 75% of its components machined internally.

To commemorate Czapek’s 180th anniversary since its founding in Geneva in 1845, the manufacture will produce 180 movements of Calibre 10.1. The inaugural Time Jumper, worn on a rubber strap, is debuting in two limited editions — 100 pieces in stainless steel and 30 pieces in 3N 18-Karat gold — with the remaining movements reserved for special projects, including 10 bespoke pieces available by direct commission through the Czapek boutique.
