Chopard

Founded in 1860 by Louis-Ulysse Chopard in the Swiss village of Sonvilier, Chopard is a brand that initially specialized in pocket watches and chronometers, and quickly earned a reputation for precision and reliability. In 1963, the Scheufele family, renowned German jewellers, acquired Chopard and the brand expanded into high jewelry. The introduction of the Happy Diamonds collection in 1976, with its signature floating diamonds, cemented Chopard’s status as a pioneer in both watchmaking and jewellery design. Chopard’s L.U.C. collection, named after its founder, is a testament to Swiss watchmaking artistry, often featuring intricate complications and Geneva Seal certifications. Additionally, Chopard has demonstrated a strong commitment to sustainability by using ethically sourced gold and supporting fair mining practices. Today, Chopard remains a family-owned maison, celebrated for its timeless elegance, innovation, and commitment to responsible luxury — a true icon in the world of haute horlogerie.
