Chopard revisits the Happy Diamond archives for the latest launches in the line

The launch is also marked by the launch of a Happy Diamond campaign featuring Bella Hadid and Liu Wen
Chopard’s latest timepieces revisit the 1993 Happy Sport model, watch to set Happy Diamonds in motion on the dial and combined steel with diamonds for the very first time. The re-editions, Happy Sport The First, are presented in 26 mm and 33 mm diameters in Lucent Steel™ and/or ethical yellow gold, revisiting the proportions while remaining true to the original design.

The reissue revives the most iconic aspect of the line — the pebble-link bracelet, inspired by the pebbles shaped by the sea, originally imagined by Caroline Scheufele, artistic director and co-president of Chopard. The dial features a silver-toned and finely grained texture with midnight blue Roman numerals marking hours at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock and a railway
minute track in the same hue. The blued sword-shaped hands mark time. The 26 mm models feature five happy diamonds, while the 33 mm models feature seven. Faithful to the original, the watches are crafted in Chopard’s exclusive Lucent Steel™, made with a recycling rate of 80%, and ethical yellow gold.

Along with this, the Happy Diamonds Heritage collection is also launching that revisit the earlier Happy Diamond models from 1976. Directly inspired by the original models, the cushion-shaped watches feature a black polished mirror-like oynx dial with a ciruclar gold ring in the centre marking time with gilded hours and minutes hands. The Happy Diamonds float between two sapphire crystals – 21 in 34 X 34 mm model (Ref. 202299-0001) and 9 in 24 X 24 mm model (Ref. 203787-0001). Crafted in 18-karat ethical yellow gold, the dial is devoid of any hour markers, and only the brand’s logo and the ‘Swiss Made’ typography are present at the traditional places in the circular dial. The ref. 202299-0001 is powered by the Chopard 10.01 C hand-wound Manufacture movement, one of the smallest (15.70 mm in
diameter) and thinnest (2.90 mm) mechanical movements in the world, put to view with a clear caseback, offering a 45-hour power reserve. The ref. 203787-0001 is powered by a quartz movement.
