Tudor’s line of hardcore exploration watches – Ranger – was available only in 39 mm size with a black dial. Now, the line expands with a 36 mm case size and a new matt ‘Dune White’ dial, result of the brand’s association with the Dakar Rally race, one of the most severe motorsport events. Released at Dubai Watch Week 2025, the dune white model also joins the permanent collection.

Aesthetically, the new models follow the codes of the 1960s Ranger models with large arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. The hour markers are painted and coated with Grade A Swiss Super-LumiNova® luminescent material. In either black or beige, contrasting with the respective model dials. There are arrow-shaped central hands, with a rounded edge for hours and angular for seconds hand. The seconds hand also retains Ranger aesthetics with the tip painted in burgundy. The case is crafted in 316L steel with a fixed bezel decorated with satin-brushed along with the bracelet. Some elements, however, are polished to strengthen the lines of the case, including the edge of the bezel.

The new models are equipped with COSC certified Manufacture Calibres MT5400 for the 36 mm case and MT5402 for the 39 mm case. The COSC allows an average variation in the daily running of a watch of between -4 and +6 seconds in relation to absolute time in a single movement, TUDOR insists on between -2 and +4 seconds’ variation in its running when it is completely assembled. As for the power reserve, of about 70 hours, the brand deems it ‘weekend-proof’, meaning you can put the watch away on a Friday evening and put it back on on Monday morning without having to wind it again. The movement features a sturdy traversing bridge with two points of fixation making the construction of the movement reliable and robust.

The watches are available on an entirely satin-brushed stainless steel bracelet, fastened with a Tudor ‘T-fit’ clasp equipped with a no-tool system for rapid length adjustment offering five positions, with an adjustment window of 8 mm. Along with the bracelet, the models also come with a single-piece earth tone tri-colour fabric strap, woven in France on 19th century Jacquard looms by the Julien Faure company in the Saint-Étienne region. The watches retails for Rs 3,17,500.
