At Geneva Watch Days 2024, Czapek & Cie will introduce new timepieces in one of its most sought-after lines, the Antarctique Polar Sky and Antarctique Flying Diamonds, adorned with a shimmery aventurine dial, reflecting a ‘starry sky’.
Antarctique S Flying Diamonds and Antarctique Flying Diamonds The new timepieces are made with stainless steel and are unveiled in four references—Antarctique Polar Sky with a 40.5mm case, a limited edition of 99; Antarctique S Polar Sky in 38.5mm, limited to 77 pieces; an 8-piece limited edition Antarctique Flying Diamonds in 40.5mm; and Antarctique S Flying Diamonds in 38.55mm. Both the Polar Sky pieces are crafted without diamonds, and the Flying Diamonds come with diamond indexes and an optional diamond-set case and bracelet.
The brand has used its exclusive ‘Antarctique cut’ for the diamond markers that reflect light through a total of 24 facets, which sparkles better than a baguette cut diamond that has 14 facets. For the Polar Sky, metal indexes are used. The sparkling aventurine dial was earlier seen in the Quai de Bergues (2019) and Faubourg de Cracovie (2022) lines. Topping it is an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The screw-down crown helps offer water resistance of up to 120 metres.
Antarctique Flying Diamonds All the watches are powered by in-house manufacture Calibre SXH5 with a 60-hour reserve. The movement is designed with a free-swinging balance and the micro-rotor is made of recycled platinum. The bridges are black sandblasted with straight, grained sides and six bevelled edges.
Antarctique Polar Sky Both the Polar Sky models are priced at Rs 30,74,00 (approx). The Antarctique Flying Diamonds is priced at Rs 50,61,000 (approx.) and the Antarctique S Flying Diamonds at Rs 45,00,000 (approx.)
