Luminor, Submersible models open Watches and Wonders 2022 for Panerai

With the new Luminor Goldtech™ Calendario Perpetuo and a range of Submersible watches, Panerai presents its novelties for the Watches and Wonders 2022.

Panerai presents its novelties for the Watches and Wonders 2022 event and with them, highlights its material innovation. A solid range of Submersible watches has been unveiled alongside a Luminor model at the Geneva exhibition. Characterised by a bold design and a unidirectional rotating bezel, Submersible models have been the go-to watches for underwater exploration. On the other hand is the Luminor model with its iconic and patented crown protecting device. Here, we explore what Panerai offers at the watch show.

Luminor Goldtech™ Calendario Perpetuo

Owning the new Luminor Goldtech™ Calendario Perpetuo will be an experience you may remember for life. Panerai will invite the owners of this limited edition piece to Florence to experience the Panerai heritage first-hand. Available in only 33 pieces, this perpetual calander's GMT function works alongside the hour and minute hands, with the subdial at 9 o'clock featuring the day-night indicator and small seconds.

A 22K micro-rotor winds and stores energy in two barrels. The precision and regulation of its chronometry is supported by its movement, marked at 28,800 alternations per hour. Powered by the automatic movement P.4100, the watch offers a setting that requires no corrector or tools, allowing adjustments to the day, date, month, and year through rotating the crown in either direction. The engine achieves a massive power reserve of around three days.

The 44mm Polished Panerai Goldtech™ case is water resistant upto 50 metres. The watch has been paired with a black patina alligator strap with a matte finish. Keeping up with the latest tech trends, each owner of the Luminor Goldtech™ Calendario Perpetuo will receive access to an exclusive NFT created by an artist for the occasion.

Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro watches in 44mm

Joining the existing 47mm and 42mm sizes, Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro 44mm case makes its debut. Three distinct iterations of the Submersible QuarantaQuattro have been added to the Submersible lineup, each having its own material and colour. These models -- the Submersible QuarantaQuattro Carbotech™ Blu Abisso PAM01232, the Submersible QuarantaQuattro Bianco PAM01226, and the Submersible QuarantaQuattro PAM 01229 -- are water resistant upto 300 metres, with the patented crown-protecting device.

The Submersible QuarantaQuattro Carbotech™ Blu Abisso PAM01232, paired with a Caoutchouc dark blue strap, has its case made of Carbotech™ - the lightest material used by Panerai. A composite based on carbon fibre, it is lighter than titanium and possesses high resistance to corrosion and scratches. The Submersible QuarantaQuattro PAM01229 features a steel case and Super-LumiNova™ that enhances its hands, dots, and indexes. The reference has been paired with either a black rubber strap or a dark grey fabric strap.

The rubber strap is made from 30 per cent recycled materials while the second one is composed of 68 per cent recycled fabric material. The Submersible QuarantaQuattro Bianco PAM01226 houses a beautiful white dial that finds contrast in the Caoutchouc military green strap. The three references are powered by the P.900 automatic movement, delivering a power reserve of around three days.

Panerai Submersible 44mm watches in eSteel™

The Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro eSteel™ models work towards Panerai's sustainability goals and at the same time present the manufacture's technical expertise - 72g of the Submersible QuarantaQuattro eSteel™ is made of recycled materials, corresponding to 52 per cent of the total weight of the watch (that is 137g). eSteel™ has the same properties as the conventional steel, including identical chemical behaviour, physical structure, and resistance to corrosion.

There are three dial variations matching the straps - deep blue, grey, and green. The three references -- the Submersible QuarantaQuattro eSteel™ Verde Smeraldo PAM01287, the Submersible QuarantaQuattro eSteel™ Grigio Roccia PAM01288, and the Submersible QuarantaQuattro eSteel™ Blu Profondo PAM01289 -- are driven by the P.900 automatic movement that is only 4.2mm thick and features a date indication, delivering a three-day power reserve. These pieces are water resistant upto 300 metres and two straps are included with each watch, both in the same colour as their companion dial - the first strap is composed of fabric-made recycled PET, while the second strap is made from recycled rubber.

Submersible QuarantaQuattro Luna Rossa

The Submersible QuarantaQuattro Luna Rossa PAM01391 defines the power and possibilities of collaboration in watchmaking. With the Submersible QuarantaQuattro Luna Rossa, Panerai relishes the collaboration between the Florentine brand and the Luna Rossa Team, winner of the sailing Prada Cup in the last America's Cup. The 44mm steel case is made to take on the harsh challenges of ocean racing and with a patented crown protection device, rubberised crown, and rotating unidirectional bezel, the Submersible QuarantaQuattro Luna Rossa is truly a diver's watch.

This Submersible timepiece has been paired with a dark blue bi-material strap accented with the red and white Luna Rossa logo and a second in the same ocean-inspired colour and composed of recycled rubber.
