The Rolex Submariner 116610 gets an exclusive interpretation by Artisans de Genève

The redesigned Rolex Submariner version features a sand-coloured dial made of genuine meteorite stone and an in-house moon phase display
Artisans de Genève has redesigned the discontinued Rolex Submariner 116610 to Submariner 116610 Artisans de Geneve ‘Heart of Namibia’, using a genuine meteorite stone on the dial and a custom-made moon phase display located at 6 o’clock. The modified version is a 40mm 904L stainless steel watch completed with an Oyster bracelet.

The heart of the ‘Heart of Namibia’ is a dial made of real meteorite rock

The 0.3 mm thick dial of the watch comes from a rare meteorite stone that was found in Namibia, Africa and thus gave the timepiece its name. https://www.instagram.com/p/C9H8Gbtp9wl/?hl=deIn order to highlight its natural patterns and structures, the stone was carefully worked several times. This created the unique aesthetic quality of the surface, which once again emphasizes the exclusivity of this watch model.

In addition to the rare dial material, Artisans de Genève have equipped the Rolex ‘Heart of Namibia’ Submariner with an in-house moon phase complication. It is set against a backdrop of an aventurine sky, reminiscent of the beauty of a starry night. A mother-of-pearl moon adds an extra touch of elegance to the composition. Both the starry sky and the moon are entirely hand-crafted.

The modified movement consists of 28 handcrafted components
The ‘Heart of Namibia’ is complemented by a new dark blue ceramic bezel, while the case is laser engraved with a special grainy effect. The original Rolex 3135 movement was modified for this version and now features a custom-made white gold rotor that also contains a meteorite stone. The power reserve is 48 hours.

The price of the watch is Rs. 32,42,000 (approx.), reflecting the quality of craftsmanship and the exclusivity of this bespoke watch. However, the prices for each Artisans de Genève order vary depending on the type and extent of customization requested.

Collectors and enthusiasts will see the Rolex Submariner ‘Heart of Namibia’ not just as a timepiece, but as a wearable work of art that combines craftsmanship and the fascination of rare materials. Unfortunately, there is only one example in the world - and it was made at the request of a customer who already owns the watch.
