TAG Heuer introduced the revolutionary Monaco collection of chronograph watches in 1969. The square-cased watches, housing the iconic Calibre 11, are today renowned for their Formula 1 connect. Last year, the brand introduced the TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Racing Blue as a tribute to the French racing cars. The Monaco Chronograph now gets the Racing Green colour of the British racing cars, with subtle accents of white and yellow. The TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Racing Green is encased in a lightweight and robust 39mm sandblasted grade-2 titanium capped with a domed sapphire crystal. The silver sunray brushed dial features two chronograph counters in the Racing Green colour, seconds indicator at 3 o’clock and the minutes at 9 o’clock. All the indexes and hands are rhodium-plated. The hour and minute hands are coated with blue Super-LumiNova®, and the dot hour markers with light green Super-LumiNova® that glow blue. The index at 12 o’clock and the central seconds hand are featured in yellow; and the date window comes at 6 o’clock. Lastly, the crown’s position is at 9 o’clock. Through the sapphire caseback, one can view Calibre 11, which offers a 40-hour power reserve. The engraving on the caseback “ONE OF 1000” points to its limited-edition production.
The timepiece is flanked with a green calfskin perforated strap, with matching green stitches, and yellow lining. Priced at approximately INR 8,97,000, the watch comes in a custom- designed black-coloured box with yellow detailing.
