Swiss watch brand Jaeger-LeCoultre brings back a timepiece from its history with the introduction of a new Master Control Classic (Ref. Q4008520). The latest watch is an aesthetically faithful reinterpretation of the brand’s Master Control reference launched in 1995. The watch also features the latest version of Calibre 899 boasting a 70-hour power reserve.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control ClassicComing from history, the new Master Control Classic has a vintage appeal. Reminiscising the 1995 model, the minimal silver sunray dial of the latest iteration features the dial colour matching numerals on 12,6, and 9, elongated triangular hour markers, both set along with lume coated dots.
Further following the design codes are a date window at 3 o’clock, dauphine hands, and a blued seconds hand to add a touch of the colour to the dial. However, at 36 mm, the new watch features 2 mm larger diameter than its predecessor.
Turn the watch around and you will see the brand’s logo engraved in the center, the mention of Master Control, which marks the brand’s ‘1000-hour Control’ certification—it’s an emblem used on the early Master Control watches.
Powering the watch is the brand’s latest version of the self-winding Calibre 899, offering a power reserve of about 70 hours. A brown ostrich leather strap with stainless steel pin buckle, completes the watch. This stainless steel watch is a limited edition of 500 pieces.
