Breguet expands its Tradition collection with new Tradition GMT and Tradition Seconde Rétrograde timepieces

The latest watches in the line comprise new movement finishes and new straps
Launched in 2005, Breguet’s Tradition collection is one of the brand’s most iconic and recognised lines. Inspired by the timepieces designed by A.-L. Breguet, the Tradition line is characterised by mechanical innovation and development. For 2026, the brand is strengthening the line with four new Tradition Seconde Rétrograde and two Tradition GMT models.

Breguet Tradition Seconde Rétrograde
Tradition Seconde Retrograde 7037

The watches released include Tradition Seconde Retrograde 7037 in 18-karat white gold (Ref. 7037BB/YB/5V6) and 950 platinum (Ref. 7037PT/N9/5V6); Tradition Seconde Rétrograde 7038 (Ref. 7038BB/N9/7V6 D0) featuring an 18-karat rhodium-plated white gold case with bezel decorated with 58 brilliant-cut diamonds; and Tradition Seconde Rétrograde 7097 (Ref. 7097BR/GB/3WU), in 18-karat rose gold.

The Tradition Seconde Retrograde 7037, for the first time, appears with an entirely blue movement, the automatic Calibre 505 SR. Completely hand-finished, it features a finely shot-blasted mainplate, satin-brushed bridges, and a snail-patterned hand-done guilloche barrel cover, giving the dial a new aesthetic dimension. Visible through the transparent caseback, the calibre is Breguet signed and numbered, and features a half-moon-shaped oscillating weight crafted in 950 platinum. Boasting a 3Hz frequency, the movement has a 50-hour power reserve.

On the front, replacing the usual guilloche dial at 12 is a white Grand Feu enamel one that displays Breguet Arabic numerals—designed by A.L Breguet in 1783—instead of the Roman ones. The time-only watch features Breguet hour and minute hands and retrograde seconds on the left side of the dial. The 38 mm watch is fitted with a blue rubber with light grey stitching. The other iteration features an all-black aesthetic with black grand feu enamel dial and comes with a matching rubber strap.
Seconde Rétrograde 7038

The Tradition Seconde Rétrograde 7038 is a 37 mm iteration crafted in 18-karat rhodium-plated white gold with the bezel accentuated with 58 brilliant-cut diamonds. It debuts with black aventurine glass dial, this time on the high-density black finish mainplate with a sunburst guilloché pattern in the centre, specially developed for this version. There are 18-karat white gold hour, minute, and retrograde seconds’s hand. The same Calibre 505 SR powers the watch, though the caseback of this model reveals a rhodium-plated 18-karat gold oscillating weight with sunburst guilloché pattern. The watch comes with a black satin-finish fabric.
              Tradition Seconde Rétrograde 7097

Now, in the Tradition Seconde Rétrograde 7097 – the brand has introduced a new movement finish on this model, a charcoal grey barrel cover. The complete mainplate is contrasted with rose-gilt gear train and balance rim. The dial is re-emphasised with a white enamel one that is slightly thicker than usual. And in what  is a design departure, at 9 o’clock, there is an enamel arch marking retrograde seconds that ‘cuts’ the dial.

The 40 mm 18-karat rose gold watch is equipped with an automatic Calibre 505 SR1, boasting a 50-hour power reserve. A new grey calfskin with ecru top-stitching complements the watch.

Breguet Tradition GMT

 Tradition GMT 7067 (Ref. 7067PT/NM/5W6)

There’s also a new Tradition GMT 7067 (Ref. 7067PT/NM/5W6) that features the same design codes as the previous GMT 7067, though this time there’s an aesthetic update—the new watch debuts with a green gradient Grand Feu enamel dial. The dial shows pine green at the centre that becomes an absolute black around the rim, a result of meticulously choosing the right enamel power and firing.

The hometime subdial is located at 8 o’clock, a day/night indicator at 10 o’clock, positioned near the crown that sets the complication. The hour and minutes dial is located at 12 showing Arabic numerals. There’s one more iteration (Ref. 7067PT/NM/5W6 01), with just one change—the Eastern Arabic numerals on the hometime sundial.

The caseback of the watch reveals the manual winding Calibre 507DRF boasting a 50-hour power reserve. The 950 platinum 40 mm watch is completed with a black rubber with green topstitching and 950 platinum pin buckle.
