Longines redesigns its HydroConquest line with seven new timepieces

The new generation of HydroConquest comes with a new Milanese mesh bracelet
First introduced in 2007, Longines’s diver’s watch collection, HydroConquest, now expands with seven new timepieces. The brand added four dial variations and five ceramic bezel across the line. The watches come in two case size options—39 mm and 42 mm.

Longines has redesigned the collection in several ways. Firstly, there’s a unidirectional bezel with a ceramic insert this time coated with a new Super-LumiNova® capsule. The dials are cleaner and more legible, featuring bolder hour markers, and Arabic numerals at 12, 9, and 6 have been omitted. The hands and hour markers are coated with Super-LumiNova®. The dial variations include polished lacquered in blue, black, and green along with a frosted-blue. The bezels framing these come in classic black, blue and slate grey, verdant green, and luminous blue.

However, the highlight of the release is the introduction of a new Milanese mesh bracelet with shorter links for personalisation. It features tapered mesh construction for comfort. References with a black lacquered polished dial are paired with slate grey and blue bezels, as well as a frosted blue sunray dial with a black bezel, are offered with this new Milanese bracelet. The remaining four models, including boutique and e-commerce exclusive pieces (frosted blue sunray dial with blue bezel), are available with the brand’s three-link bracelet.

Both bracelets feature a push-piece opening mechanism and micro-adjustment. As diver’s watches, they are water-resistant up to 300 metres. Powering all the watches is the Longines Calibre L888.5, offering a 72-hour power reserve. The watches are priced at Rs. 2,25,000 for the three-link bracelet versions and Rs. 2,37,000 for the Milanese mesh bracelet models.

“This watch brings with it a sense of lightness and dignity. It evokes thoughts of spring and summer shores, docksides and with them the promise of discovery; evocative of the classic elegance from Longines,” says British Actor Henry Cavill says, who was a part of the brand’s HydroConquest launch campaign.
