Breitling revamps the Heritage collection

Dedicated to the man of today, Breitling revives its most elegant and refined timepiece – the Premier Heritage.

Taking inspiration from the inventive spirit of Breitling that it is well known for, the brand brings back the Premier Heritage collection in new and exciting editions. As one of the brand's most elegant and exquisite collection, the new Premier Heritage collection expands to six watches divided into three distinctive categories: The Chronograph, The Duograph, and The Datora. “This heritage-inspired design with a stylish modern twist embodies some of Breitling’s most famous innovations, and revives Breitling’s legacy of inventing the modern chronograph. This truly is our heritage revived,” says Georges Kern of Breitling’s timelessly elegant new collection.

It pays tribute to Breitling's own Founders Squad which includes three generations of men who were instrumental in changing the history of timekeeping making Breitling what it is today. These three gentlemen include Léon Breitling who founded the company in 1884 and was also involved in garnering a patent for a simple timer/tachymeter, his son Gatson who created the first wrist-worn chronographs with an independent pusher at 2 o' clock in 1915 and Léon's grandson Wily who patented the second independent chronograph pusher at 4 o' clock in 1934.

Wily Breitling was also the one who designed the original Premier watches in the 1940s. The way he saw it was “When a man puts on his watch, it is the unmistakable stamp of impeccable taste.” Following through Wily's understanding of the need for a touch of elegance and glamour in wristwatches, the Premier collection has evolved through the years. The latest generation of Premiers brings this theme to the forefront again.

The Breitling Premier Heritage Chronograph editions are crafted in a 40mm stainless-steel and 18K red gold cases with an eye-catching pistachio green and a stately silver-coloured dial, respectively.

It is powered by a manually wound Breitling Manufacture Caliber B09 that is based on the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 of the 1940s.

The Premier Heritage Duograph comes in a 42mm stainless-steel or 18K rose gold case with a blue or black dial, respectively. This timepiece features a rattrapante function that enables the wearer to measure two elapsed times simultaneously.

Powered by the mechanical hand-wound Breitling Manufacture Caliber B15, the timepiece is available in gold brown or black alligator leather strap.

The third timepiece released under the 2021 Premier Heritage collection is the 42mm Premier Heritage Datora. This timepiece stands out from the lot due to its highly visible and complex functions thats includes the day, date, and moon phase displays.

These functions are powered by the Manufacture Caliber B25. The timepieces is aesthetically designed with a silver-coloured dial for the 18K red gold case and a copper-coloured dial for the stainless-steel version.

Other common features of the new editions are Arabic numerals and vintage-inspired hands present on the dial, a COSC- certified chronometer movement and water-resistant up to 100 meters.
