Combining a white gold case with a black dial, the new 1815 chronograph with stopwatch function by Lange is also equipped with a pulsimeter scale. Reminiscing the pocket-watch era with the railway track minute scale and the symmetrical arrangement of the subsidiary dials, the chronograph holds a power-reserve of 60 hours.
The watch is powered with the caliber L951.5 movement, which can measure time with an accuracy of one-fifth of a second. It comes enclosed in a 39.5mm white-gold case, playing home to the jet black solid silver dial and the rhodium hands. The strap is black alligator leather.
The sapphire-crystal caseback gives a glimpse of the switching sequences of the movement: the column wheel that controls the chronograph functions, the levers of the flyback mechanism, and the snail of the precisely jumping minute counter. The escapement is readily visible as well.
