Dubai Watch Week 2025: Favre Leuba expands its Deep Raider Renaissance line with two new models

The new models come with Meteorite and Malachite Dials
Favre Leuba expands its Deep Raider Renaissance line with two new models that introduce materials never before used in the brand’s 288-year history: the Deep Raider Renaissance Meteorite and the Deep Raider Renaissance Malachite. Both versions build on the design language first established for the Renaissance collection in 2024, while maintaining a visual connection to the 1964 Deep Blue model.

The Deep Raider Renaissance Meteorite uses Muonionalusta iron meteorite sourced from northern Sweden. Its composition of iron and nickel, with kamacite and taenite, produces the Widmanstätten pattern that emerges only after controlled slicing, lapping, and acid etching. This structure is inherently brittle, requiring each fragment to be stability-tested before being machined into thin plates. The dial has a two-part sandwich construction: a perforated upper layer and a Super-Luminova-coated lower plate. Light passes through the cut-out markers making reading time easy in dark, and each watch is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity confirming the meteorite’s ethical origin.

The Deep Raider Renaissance Malachite uses malachite selected formed in irregular layers, only sections with reliable density and pattern are chosen. The mineral is cut into thin plates, reinforced where necessary, and polished at low temperatures to prevent fractures. The natural banding ensures that no two dials are identical.

Both models share the same technical specifications. The 40 mm stainless-steel case offers 300 metres of water resistance, a unidirectional ceramic bezel with a luminous reference point at 12 o’clock, and a double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. A sapphire caseback reveals the automatic FLD02 movement, operating at 4 Hz with a 68-hour power reserve. The calibre features Côtes de Genève, perlage, blued screws, and a skeletonised 4N-toned rotor with the Favre Leuba emblem.

Each watch includes a date display and is offered on an integrated steel bracelet or an FKM rubber strap. The Deep Raider Renaissance Malachite is priced at Rs 2,99,000 on the bracelet and Rs 2,89,000 on the strap. The Meteorite version is priced at Rs 3,49,000 on the bracelet and Rs 3,39,000 on the strap. Both editions will be available exclusively at Ethos in India from early December.
