Watches and Wonders 2026 Preview: Sinn brings new hunting watches, three-hand watches 544 and 544 RS, and the chronograph 306 S

The is the first time the brand is coming to Watches and Wonders
Founded in 19611, Sinn Spezialuhren is German. This year, the brand is making its debut at the Watches and Wonders unveiling hunting watches to limited-edition chronographs, showcasing its excellence in purposeful technical and tool watches.

Sinn 308 Hunting Watch

With the 308 hunting watch, Sinn Spezialuhren presents a new version of the well-known 3006 hunting watch : Unlike the 3006, which features a chronograph function, the new 308 focuses on displaying hours, minutes, seconds, the date, and a special moonlight indicator. Like the 3006, this new model is designed for use in challenging lighting conditions. The watch is particularly aimed at users who rely on natural light sources during their activities – such as hunting – and cannot use artificial lighting.

Moonlight indicator as a functional complication

A key feature of the watch is the moonlight indicator positioned at 6 o'clock . Unlike a classic moon phase display, it is not primarily decorative but serves a functional purpose: it indicates when natural moonlight reaches sufficient brightness to allow for orientation. This is generally the case – also depending on the weather – between three days before and three days after a full moon (in hunting circles, this is also referred to as the "sow's sun"). The moonlight indicator is complemented by a comprehensive illumination system. Both the display itself and the hand-applied indices consist of hybrid ceramic luminescent elements. Luminescent pigments are integrated into a ceramic structure, allowing for a particularly high concentration of the luminous material. The result is a high luminous intensity that ensures clear readability even in complete darkness. This approach differs from classic luminous materials, where the pigments are usually embedded in a carrier layer. The hour and minute hands are also coated with luminescent paint, so that all relevant displays remain legible at a glance.

Technology for outdoor use

In addition to its advanced display and illumination technology, Sinn relies on proven case and movement technologies for the 308 hunting watch. The 40 mm diameter case, precisely 12 mm thick at the center, is made of satin-finished stainless steel and is water-resistant to a pressure of 20 bar (200 m) and resistant to negative pressure . Furthermore, the watch features Sinn's renowned Ar-Dehumidifying Technology : this reduces moisture inside the case, thus increasing its reliability and preventing fogging. This is particularly important during periods of extreme temperature fluctuations or high humidity, ensuring the watch's long-term reliability. Inside, the Sellita automatic caliber SW 382-1 powers the watch, meeting the requirements for antimagnetic properties according to DIN 8309.

Functional design
The Sinn 308 hunting watch also follows a functional design approach. The dark green dial reflects the watch's hunting environment while simultaneously providing a high contrast to the lighter displays. The date is indicated by a hand emanating from the center: this hand is dark with a white tip, marking the current date without visually interfering with the white seconds hand. As is typical for Sinn, the 308 hunting watch is available with different straps. It costs Rs. 2,77,000 (approx.) with a leather or silicone strap and Rs. 3,10,000 (approx.) with a solid stainless steel bracelet.

Sinn 544 and 544 RS

Focusing on the essentials is the motto for the new 544 and 544 RS models . The emphasis here is on clear design and excellent legibility: the two three-hand watches with a date display in the window at 3 o'clock differ in only one detail: the central seconds hand. While the 544 features a white seconds hand, the 544 RS uses a red seconds hand with daylight-readable luminous paint. This gives it a more instrumental character, making it somewhat more technical and sporty, while the 544 presents itself as decidedly understated and functional.

Clear, functional design

Both versions come in a bead-blasted stainless steel case with a diameter of 38.5 mm and a total height of approximately 10 mm. This positions them in line with the current trend towards more moderate case sizes while also offering excellent everyday usability: The surface is completely matte, which reduces reflections and emphasizes the watch's functional character. The top and back glass are made of sapphire crystal, with the exhibition case back offering a view of the automatic movement. This is the proven Sellita automatic caliber SW 200-2, which in the Sinn version, however, offers a 60-hour power reserve instead of the usual 38 hours.

In terms of design, the model series is reminiscent of earlier Sinn watches, particularly models like the 144 and 244. Their functional design elements are translated here into a reduced, contemporary form. A characteristic detail is the crown positioned at 4 o'clock. This is intended to prevent it from pressing into the back of the hand when worn and is also equipped with the D3 system ("direct double sealing"), which offers particularly high protection against moisture ingress.

Best readability
Both models feature hand-applied hybrid ceramic luminescent elements (see description above for the 308 hunting watch). Since these are the focal point, Sinn has placed the Arabic numerals on the rehaut. The matte black dial provides a striking contrast to the light-colored indices and hands. Both watches are suitable not only for everyday wear but also for demanding tasks – not least because they are water-resistant and pressure-resistant to 20 bar (200 m) and also resistant to negative pressure. With prices of 1,50,000 (approx.) (with a leather or silicone strap) and Rs. 1,88,000 (approx.) (with a steel bracelet), the 544 and 544 RS are also attractive entry-level models for anyone looking to buy a Sinn watch for the first time.

Sinnn 936 S
Sinn has given its 936 chronograph, which won the Red Dot Design Award in 2020, a black case in 2026. The 936 S , limited to 100 pieces, features a 43 mm stainless steel case with a black hard coating on a tegimented base.

Chronograph with 60-minute counter
The watch's distinguishing feature is the minute counter at 3 o'clock: unlike the usual 30-minute counter, it's designed for 60 minutes. This eliminates the need to manually add up the time for chronographs exceeding 30 minutes. This rather unusual display is made possible by the Sinn SZ05 chronograph movement, which is based on the ETA Valjoux 7750. Sinn has colored the chronograph hands red, visually separating them from the white hour hands.

The rhodium-plated and matte-brushed hour and minute hands, as well as the hour markers, are coated with white luminescent paint, ensuring excellent legibility even in the dark. The two subdials for elapsed minutes and seconds are finely crafted and feature a central groove that adds depth to the dial. At the same time, the overall design remains understated and focused on functionality. The 100-meter water resistance is achieved, among other things, through the screw-down crown and the pushers equipped with Sinn's proprietary D3 system. The chronograph also features resistance to negative pressure and magnetic fields up to 100 mT (80,000 A/m). The 936 S is available with a leather or silicone strap, each priced at Rs. 4,48,000 (approx.)
