Watches and Wonders 2026 Preview: Favre Leuba brings a Harpoon Revival timepiece and a whole new '1737' collection

Recalling the brand’s founding year, the new 1737 collection debuts with three Triple Calendar Editions
Favre Leuba made its grand comeback in 2024 helmed by CEO Patrik Hoffmann, and since then the brand has been introducing watches at a steady pace. From relaunching its Chief (land), Deep Blue (sea), and Sea Sky (air) collections, to delivering its first ever tourbillon and skeleton dial, the brand has expanded its universe in all directions. For its debut at Watches and Wonders, Favre Leuba has unveiled Harpoon Revival and a new '1737' collection, that debuts with three Triple Calendar Editions

Favre Leuba Harpoon Revival

The new Harpoon Revival celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Harpoon watch with a faithful recreation. Staying true to the original design, the watch comes in a 36.8 mm stainless steel case with a slim steel bezel and a crown, embossed with a Favre Leuba monogram.

The sunray-brushed grey dial, same as the original, features rhodium-plated geometrical hour markers at 12, 6, and 9 o’clock, and at 3 o’clock lies the date window. At 6, there is Harpoon mentioned in the stylized typography. The hour and minute hands are coated with SuperLumiNova.

“The Harpoon represents a defining chapter in Favre Leuba’s history,” says Patrik Hoffmann, CEO, Favre Leuba. “For its 60th anniversary, we focused on preserving the proportions and character that made the original so distinctive, while elevating the mechanics to meet contemporary expectations,” he stated in a press note.

Though everything is a reflection of the 1966 vintage piece, the new timepiece comes with a modern Calibre FLD04—based on the La Joux-Perret G100 automatic movement. The movement boasts a power reserve of about 68 hours. Turn the watch over to see the closed steel caseback engraved medallion of the original model.

The stainless steel watch is offered with a black leather strap and is priced at Rs. 2,11,000 (approx.)

Favre Leuba Triple Calendar Edition

The new collection ‘1737’—which takes its name from the brand’s founding year—debuts with three new Triple Calendar Editions. The brand first introduced Datora, a manual-wind calendar moonphase complication watch in 1946, which soon became a cornerstone in the brand’s offerings. Now the brand brings forward a modern tribute with the new Triple Calendar models.

There are three versions introduced include blue, black, and silver-white sunray dial versions. All three stainless steel watches measure 39 mm and feature a triple calendar on the dial. The pointer date on the flange, which is indicated by a red tipped hand; hour markers include polished Roman numbers at 3, 9, and 12 and stick markers; and a moonphase complication at 6 o’clock. The day and month window are at 12 o’clock, respectively.

Powering these watches is an automatic Calibre FLD06 offering precision of +/-5 seconds per day. The movement provides a power reserve of about 56 hours. The watches are completed with a black or blue leather strap.

Prices: Rs. 4,10,000 (approx.)
