Watches and Wonders 2026: Bremont reaches for the cosmos with a new Supernova collection

The Supernova Chronograph will not only travel to space but will also stay on the lunar surface
Taking Bremont’s portfolio of timepieces – dedicated to air, water, and land — to the next level, the brand is launching a new collection, Supernova, that has been created for space. And the collection debuts with the  Supernova Chronograph, created in collaboration with American aerospace company Astrolab.

The timepiece is associated with a space mission where the watch will fly aboard Astrolab’s FLIP (FLEX Lunar Innovation Platform) rover, which is scheduled to land at the lunar south pole no earlier than summer 2026 as part of Astrobotic’s Griffin Mission One (Griffin-1). In keeping with this, the watch has endured rigorous testing at Astrolab’s facilities.

Using the progenitor model, the brand has created a  41 mm Supernova Chronograph that focuses on engineering and functional design. The case is built using a three-part construction inspired by Bremont’s “Trip-Tick” system. It is crafted 904L stainless steel, a material known for strong corrosion resistance and long-term durability. The mix of brushed and polished surfaces is designed to manage light effectively, while the geometric structure extends consistently across the bezel, crown, and pushers.

The dial uses a layered construction. A perforated grid sits on top of a full Super-LumiNova base, which emits blue light in low visibility. This improves legibility without relying on external light sources. The layout is structured, with clear visual guidance toward the center.
Indexes and hands are filled with Super-LumiNova for consistent readability. The sub-dials at 3 and 9 o’clock follow the same layered approach, ensuring uniform visibility and clarity. The use of defined shapes across markers and hands supports quick time reading. Inside the watch is the BC77 chronometer-rated movement. It delivers a 62-hour power reserve and is finished to a high standard, visible through the exhibition case back.

The watch is available on an integrated 904L steel bracelet or a rubber strap. Both use quick-release systems, allowing easy strap changes without tools. The integrated design ensures a secure and stable fit on the wrist.
