Blancpain’s flagship line for women, the elegant Ladybird, now expands with two new fully diamond-studded Ladybird Colors Phases de Lune models. One is the Ref. 3662A 9696 99A, which is crafted in red gold and features royal purple hour markers, and the other is Ref. 3662 9496 99A, in white gold with glacier blue numerals.
With these new iterations, the brand explores the jewellery dimension of the line more deeply. Keeping the aesthetics nearly the same, the watches measure 34.90mm; what’s different is that the watches are now fully decorated in snow setting with 919 diamonds on the case, lugs, bezel, crown, dial, and the pin buckle of the leather strap.
The dial is in Nacre perlée displaying the line’s signature green and pink reflections. The brand picks special mother-of-pearl for the dials, harvested from cultured shells, which can only produce only one or two dials—it is sourced from the shell's most curved central section. Hence, every dial is unique.
There’s Roman hour markers on the outer circle, a fully snow-set inner dial, and the brand’s signature moonphase complication – with closed eyes, long eyelashes, and a beauty mark–located at 6 o'clock with the small seconds hand.
Through its transparent caseback, the automatic Calibre 1163L is visible, it boasts a power reserve of 100 hours. It is also the same movement as well. The skeletonised rotor comes in red gold or white gold depending on the model.
