Based on the original 1996 timepiece, the Marine 1846 pays tribute to the marine and pocket chronometers Ulysse Nardin has been manufacturing since 1846.
Today, the updated version pays homage to the history the Swiss brand shares with the adventures of the sea. The timepiece comes with a Grand Feu enamel dial, and is updated with silicium technology.
At the heart of the timepiece lies the UN-118 Chronometer movement which has been developed entirely in-house, with a 60-hour power reserve, and a forward and backward quick-set date.
Playing on the vintage design of the original, the 1846 comes in a slightly larger 41mm case bearing the traits particular to the Marine collection: water resistance, a fluted bezel, and roman numeral markings. The enamel dial consists of the small seconds, date and power reserve indicator, and the chronometer hands and logo.
The caseback is engraved with the gold medals won by the Ulysse Nardin timepieces.
