Watches and Wonders 2023: Vacheron Constantin's novelties exude elegance

Vacheron Constantin welcomes eight new novelties to the Overseas, Les Cabinotiers, Patrimony, and Traditionelle collections.
Swiss luxury watch brand Vacheron Constantin's novelties celebrate retrograde date complications, moon phase displays, and more. Discover the new models joining the Overseas, Patrimony, Les Cabinotiers, and Traditionelle collections below.

Les Cabinotiers Dual Moon - A Grand Complication
Complete with 11 new complications in their new in-house movement, Vacheron Constantin's Les Cabinotiers Dual Moon watch comes in an 18k white gold 46mm case with a sand-blasted silver dial topped with 18k gold hands and applied markers.
Sitting on a dark blue Mississippiensis alligator leather, hand-stitched, saddle-finish strap, the novelty is a single-piece edition.
The double-sided musical timepiece features a depiction of the moons in the two hemispheres on a disc coaxial shaped like a starry dome on the front dial. The deep blue colour offers a sharp contrast with the silver of the dial. The front dial also features a titanium dome graced with rhodium-plated moons on a blue sky background. The dial is complete with the hours and minutes display and the lunar cycles positioned slightly off-center upward to integrate the calendar indications. The rotating discs are used for the perpetual calendar indications and are positioned on the upper rim of the dial as a semi-circular window with a retrograde hand.

The four-part dial is finished with a sapphire dome placed on the silver-tone metal baseplate with a sandblasted finish and open-worked calendar apertures.
The back of the dial features a display of sidereal time and constellations against a celestial backdrop. The mobile disc gives the exact position of the constellations. It also features the one-minute rotating tourbillon regulator distinguished by its carriage shaped like the watchmaker's Maltese cross emblem.
Vacheron Constantin's Les Cabinotiers Dual Moon is equipped with the in-house Calibre 2755 movement complemented by a minute repeater chiming the hours, quarters, and minutes on demand. It powers a reserve of 58 hours.

Overseas Moonphase Retrograde Date
Vacheron Constantin's Overseas collection welcomes its first Retrograde display with the new Overseas Moonphase Retrograde Date. Keeping with the collection's iconic attributes, the new model comes with a six-sided bezel, a fluted crown, a polished and satin-brushed translucent lacquered dial, luminescent hour markers and hands, and a moonphase display with a retrograde date.

The sporty chic 41mm timepiece is equipped with the in-house Calibre 2460 R31L/2 offering a 40-hour power reserve. The moonphase is displayed through an aperture at 6 o'clock while the retrograde date is indicated by the central hand on the upper part of the dial. All adjustments like winding, correcting the date and moonphase, and setting the time, can be done via the crown on the right.
The dial is blue lacquer with a sunburst satin-brushed base and a velvet-finished flange. It sits on a steel strap and is also available in a blue calfskin leather strap with grey stitches as well as a blue rubber strap.

Overseas Self-Winding
The Overseas also welcomes four new models in new sizes. Available in pink, gold and steel, the novelties measure 35 mm for the two gem-set versions and 34.5mm for the two non-set models.
