Omega adds 11 new timepieces to the iconic Seamaster line

The freshly launched watches celebrate water resistance in the shades of Summer Blue
Marking the 75th anniversary of the Omega’s Seamaster collection, the brand has unveiled 11 blue dial watches in the market to commemorate the occasion. The diving watches are released in seven different models—eleven watches in total, and are forming the spectrum of dressy to serious dive tech watches whose darkness points towards the water resistance capacity of the timepiece.

The inspiration for the Seamaster came from the first-ever diver’s watch made by the brand called Omega “Marine’’, created in 1932. The timepiece was tested at 73 metres below the surface of Lake Geneva, and also proved water-resistant at a depth of 135 metres, inside the Laboratory of Watchmaking Research in Neuchatel. However, in 1957, the Seamaster 300 was launched by the brand that opened up a new path for the undersea divers, and many models with great water-resistance capabilities have been created since then (now, Omega tests all of its water-resistant timepieces in a real underwater environment). Following in these footsteps, the new watches in the line pays tribute to the water resistance.

Aqua Terra 150M

All three watches have hands and indexes filled with rhodium and Super-LumiNova glowing blue. The 150 metres water-resistant series include three iterations: The 38mm model (Ref. 220.10.38.20.03.004) features a sun-brushed Summer Blue dial with sailboat indexes and a date window at 6 o’clock. Powering the watch is Omega's Co-Axial Master Chronometer 8800. And two 41mm pieces (Ref. 220.10.41.21.03.005 and Ref. 220.12.41.21.03.008) featuring teak-pattern dials and a date window at 6 o’clock. The Omega’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer 8900 is driving the timepieces.

Aqua Terra WorldTimer

There are two iterations of Aqua Terra Worldtimer: A steel bracelet piece (Ref. 220.10.43.22.03.002) and a blue rubber strap(Ref. 220.12.43.22.03.002). The 43mm watches have a dial featuring a laser-ablation textured Earth view, silvery printed global destinations, and 24-hour reading with light and dark blue highlighting day and night. The timepieces are water-resistant to 150 metres and are powered by OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer 8938.

Seamaster 300

The 41mm Seamaster 300 is inspired by the Original Seamaster, which was launched in 1957 as part of OMEGA’s “professional” trilogy (along with the Speedmaster and Railmaster). The Ref. 234.30.41.21.03.002 has a Summer Blue varnished dial, recessed hour markers and open Arabic numerals filled with blue glowing Super-LumiNova. The watch is powered by the OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 8912 and is water resistant to 300 metres.

Diver 300M

The Seamaster Diver 300M is available in two iterations: A steel on bracelet (Ref. 210.30.42.20.03.003) and a steel on rubber bracelet (Ref. 210.32.42.20.03.002). The 42mm timepiece has a blue ceramic bezel with enamel (Grand feu), and wave-pattern ceramic dial with a gradient, featuring skeleton hands and raised hour markers, applied with blue Super-LumiNova, and a date window at 6 o’clock. Powering the watches is OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer 8800. The watch offers 300 metres of water resistance.

Planet Ocean 600M

Inspired by the Seamaster 300, the Planet Ocean made its debut in 2005, with an orange bezel and helium escape valve. This 39.5mm model is amongst the brand’s most serious dive tech watches. The Planet Ocean 600M has a blue ceramic bezel with light blue diving scale, and a PVD-treated ceramic dial featuring Super-LumiNova coated blued hands and hour markers and a date window at 3 o’clock. The OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer 8800 is driving the watch and is offering water resistance up to 600 metres.

Ploprof or Seamaster Professional 600

The Ploprof is inspired by the Omega’s original model launched in 1971. And is the brand’s most robust diver’s watch that can withstand deep ocean pressures. The Ref. 227.32.55.21.03.001 has a blue ceramic knurled bezel with light blue diving scale, and a famous screwed-in crown and the characteristic security pusher at 2 o’clock. The 55mm X 40mm is crafted in O-Megasteel and has a sun-brushed Summer Blue dial featuring Super-LumiNova coated hour markers and hands. The OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer 8912 Calibre is beating inside, and the watch is water resistant to 1200 metres. The perforated blue rubber strap flanks the case.

Seamaster Ultra Deep

The 45.5mm Seamaster Ultra Deep has a case and bracelet crafted in O-MEGASTEEL and its dark blue dial that pays tribute to the mysteries of the deep. Its pattern is an exact representation of the Challenger Deep mapped by the Five Deeps team using almost one million sonar points. The Ref. 215.30.46.21.03.002 has a lacquered finish dial representing a great sense of depth. Shining a UV light makes the written words visible ‘OMEGA WAS HERE’, indicating the world record dive of 10,935 metres and showing the Western, Central and Eastern Pools. The watch has the same calibre as the Ploprof powering it, and is water resistant to 1200 metres.
