The revival of Daniel Roth continues with the launch of the new Tourbillon Rose Gold. This time, the tourbillon watch comes in a 5N rose gold, with a 5N rose gold guilloche dial that matches it - essentially a ‘pink-on-pink’ as the combination is popularly called by watch enthusiasts and collectors. The watch overall is inspired by the Tourbillon C187, which was designed by Daniel Roth himself.

Tourbillon Rose Gold features the signature double ellipse case, measuring 38.6mm x 35.5mm. The rose gold dial features ‘lignes’ or lines guilloche, which has been created by master watchmaker Kari Voutilainen. The guilloche is done by hand with a manually-operated straight-line engine. The dial features the name of the brand and the individual number, which will start from “21”, following the Tourbillon Souscription that was numbered “01” to “20”. The applied chapters and scales are in sterling silver, the hands are black-coated stainless-steel, and all the markings are printed in glossy black lacquer. The signature one-minute tourbillon rests at 6 with different sized hands indicating the seconds on fan-shaped tri-sections, while the off-centred dial is at 12.

The Calibre DR001 beats at a frequency of 3Hz and has a power reserve of 80 hours. The movement, visible via the sapphire caseback, features bridges finished with Côtes de Genève that mirror the guilloche on the dial. Each bridge is further enhanced by anglage, rounded, bevelled edges that are mirror polished.
