Blancpain’s Fifty Fathoms Automatique 42mm now in stainless steel

After the brushed grade 23 titanium and red gold versions launched last year, Blancpain’s Fifty Fathoms Automatique 42mm now has a stainless steel version
Since the 70th anniversary of the Fifty Fathoms collection in 2023, when the brand introduced the Fifty Fathoms 70th Anniversary Act 1, Blancpain has been adding timepieces to the Automatique line, including the brushed grade 23 titanium and red gold versions launched last year. Now the brand has unveiled a new Fifty Fathoms Automatique 42mm (Ref. 5010 1130) in stainless steel, paying homage to the Fifty Fathoms of 1953 - the watch joins Blancpain’s permanent collection.

Inside the ultra-resistant and brilliantly shiny 42mm case, a sunburst black dial is enhanced by XXL luminescent indexes offering optimal readability, while the unidirectional black bezel with domed sapphire insert completes the glossy aesthetic of the piece. Displaying hours, minutes and seconds, with luminescent hands, the watch also displays the date in a window at 4:30 o’clock.

Fifty Fathoms Automatique 42mm houses Caliber 1315

At the heart of this model is Caliber 1315, first used by the brand in 2007, which guarantees a 5-day power reserve. The self-winding movement’s silicon balance spring ensures protection against magnetism and optimal precision, even in the most extreme conditions. Visible through the sapphire caseback, its 18K red gold oscillating weight features NAC treatment, recalling the characteristic design of the rotor of the 1953 model. The watch is water-resistant up to 300 meters.
This is a non-limited model

The non-limited model comes on a stainless steel bracelet with a choice of a Tropic rubber strap with pin buckle or deployant clasp.
