Watches and Wonders 2026 Preview: Louis Moinet presents Skydance

The watch takes inspiration from the Sun and Moon, the eternal time tellers of nature
The Louis Moinet Skydance was officially launched in January 2018 as a modern, feminine follow-up to the brand's earlier Stardance collection, blending fine jewellery with mechanical watchmaking. For Watches and Wonders 2026, the brand is revisiting this model with elevated aesthetics.

The latest models of the Skydance largely follow the structural aesthetics of the line but introduce a moonphase complication, positioned at 12 o’clock. On a white mother-of-pearl dial, framed by a ring, the moonphase window employs a disc of a genuine lunar meteorite, a Dhofar 457, as a backdrop to a golden moon. Opposite to the moonphase, at 6 o’clock, running seconds take the shape of a sun with two discs placed over black aventurine, one static and another rotating every minute, creating a stunning animation resembling a shining sun. The hours on the dial are marked with diamonds. The dewdrop-shaped hour and minute hands, coated with luminescent material, mark time.

The 35.6 mm watch is crafted from grade 5 titanium and features a white ceramic bezel, which is topped with six diamonds in the Ref. LM-132.20.80, and 60 diamonds, representing 60 seconds, in the Ref. LM-132.2D.80. Both references are limited to 28 pieces, just like the original 2018 models. There is a crown at 3 o’clock that is also crafted in titanium and features a ceramic circlet bearing a fleur-de-lys at its centre, the emblem of Bourges, France, Louis Moinet’s birthplace. There is a white cabochon on each of the lugs.

Turning the watch over reveals the Calibre LM58, powering the watch for 42 hours. The oscillating weight of the automatic movement features a sun and moon in a permanent embrace, just like an eclipse. The watch is finished with a genuine rubber strap with a satin texture, and additional alligator straps are available in various colours upon request.
