Panerai Luminor Marina Carbotech

The onset of Panerai's “Year of the Luminor” begins with the new Luminor Marina Carbotech – a powerful timepiece featuring assuring precision.

Reminiscent of the Italian brand's original LAB-ID Luminor released in 2017, the all-new Panerai Luminor Marine Carbotech (ref. PAM 1661) is a one-of-a-kind timepiece. Like the name applies, the timepiece features a 44mm Carbontech case that is designed in the brand's iconic Luminor aesthetic. This particular design features a cushion case, a prominent bezel, short lugs and an all encompassing crown guard that is hard to miss.

However, what stands out is the material used to craft the case of the timepiece. The very uncommon material Carbotech is produced uniquely by compressiong sheets of carbon fiber at high pressure that produces a material which features a unique wave-like pattern that is incredibly durable and light.

Add to this a stealth black dial also using the familiar Luminor design with sandwiched features, blue Arabic numerals and simple hour markers. A subtle date window sits at 3 o' clock and a small seconds subdial takes its corner at 9 o' clock. The sword shaped blue-filled hands and details of the watch are set in white which altogether provides a stark contrast against the black dial.

Like we mentioned above, the new Panerai Luminor Marine Carbotech is a powerful tool while also being a smart-looking watch. It features the P.9010 calibre automatic in-house movement working within. Clocking in a power reserve of 72 hours and featuring an uncommon and independently adjustable hour hand, the Luminor Marine Carbotech is a beast of a timepiece when it comes to technical superiority.

The Panerai Luminor Marine Carbotech (ref. PAM 1661) is available in a Panerai SportechTM black strap.
