The Iconic TAG Heuer Carerra Gets a New Green Look

Taking on a sophisticated new look is the iconic Carerra chrongraph watch from TAG Heuer. Discover the watch below:

When it comes to ongoing trends in the watch industry, we saw a huge influx of green dial watches at the 2021 Watches & Wonders. From brands like IWC and Breitling to Cartier, Longines and Jaeger-LeCoultre, there was at least one timepiece released this year from each brand that featured a green dial . TAG Heuer jumps on the bandwagon and releases its most iconic chronograph timepiece – the Carrera in a brand new “green” avatar. This release comes at the heels of the Swiss watch brand releasing the TAG Heuer Monaco Green Dial Calibre Heuer 02 that celebrates the Grand Prix De Monaco Historique.

Let's talk about the watch:

The special edition TAG Heuer Carrera Green stays true to the original Heuer Carrera models with a brand new deep blue-green dial. Inspired by the Heuer Carrera ref. 2447, the new edition also pays homage to the brand's fascinating motor racing heritage with clean lines and perfect proportions. The signature lugs, stylish case and polished push buttons of the timepiece is similar to its earlier predecessors. The only difference is the case size which has been enlarged from 36mm to 39mm – making it perfect for both men and women.

The stunning teal sunray-burshed dial is beautifully designed giving the timepiece a fresh look and feel. The dial colour is offered in a subtle blend of blue and green that makes the watch shine when worn on the wrist. Like most of its chronograph watches, the dial houses a sophisticated tricompax structure with three snailed subdials; a minute chronograph at 3 o’clock, hour chronograph at 9 o’clock and permanent second indicator at 6 o’clock. The hands and indexes are coated with Super-LumiNova® and offers maximum legibility.

The unique colour of the dial is also represented in the transparent caseback with the Calibre Heuer 02 movement featuring hints of the teal on the column wheel. The Calibre Heuer 02 automatic chronograph movement is made of 168 parts and guarantees a power reserve of 80 hours.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Green Special Edition is available on a black alligator leather strap and is limited to just 500 pieces.

The watch will be available from May 2021 and will be sold exclusively in TAG Heuer boutiques and through the brand’s e-commerce websites
