There isn’t a colour more classic than black – there are few who will argue this. And the newest watch by Louis Erard and Label Noir, a Geneva-based atelier dedicated to personalisation, is further proof. The two brands have joined hands to create the Le Régulateur Louis Erard x Label Noir Ref. 85237NN57, a typical Le Régulateur Louis Erard design of reading time, albeit nearly entirely black with different finishes. And a pop of green.

The 42mm watch with a steel case in matte black PVD finishing, has the hour subdial on top, created in a black glossy finish, surrounded by mirror-polished steel. While the rest of the dial is vertically brushed matte, the seconds indication rests just below, forming an inverted 8 with the hour subdial above. At the centre of the dial is the minutes hands, pointed at the dotted minute track on the periphery. The hands are all a fir tree design, rhodium-plated for the hour and minute hands; the second hand is green lacquer, the only colour seen on the dial. A 'Louis Erard X Label Noir' logo rests at 3 o’clock.

The watch is powered by the automatic Sellita SW266-1 calibre, beating at 4Hz, and offering a power reserve of nearly 38 hours. A view of the movement can be seen via the transparent green caseback, also engraved with the ‘Limited Edition 1 of 178. The watch is water resistant to 50 metres.

The black colour extends to the straps as well – the watch has a black nylon strap with green stitching, and black calf leather lining, and spring bars that allow for easy changing.
