H. Moser & Cie. presents the Endeavour Chinese Calendar Limited Edition

The technical timepiece combines both Chinese lunisolar calendar and the exclusively-solar Gregorian calendar along with 12 signs of the Chinese zodiac
H. Moser & Cie. has collaborated with the Agenhor SA, a Geneva-based atelier, to create the new Endeavour Chinese Calendar Limited Edition (Ref.  1210-0400), a timepiece in which two different cultures and measurements find harmony. The Maison puts together the solar-only Gregorian calendar and the Chinese lunisolar calendar, the latter monitors the cycles of the moon along with the sun and is a tribute to traditional Chinese culture. The duo has made a masterpiece that doesn't require any correction for 12 years.

Limited edition of 100 pieces, the 40mm timepiece is crafted in 5N red gold, and is incorporated with an ‘M’ engraved crown. The sunburst midnight blue fumé dial features Indication of the Chinese years and the embolismic month at 12 o'clock along with its associated animal zodiac; the extra month is added to avoid any discrepancy with the solar year. Below the embolism month indicator, there is a brand’s logo in transparent lacquer.

Further the dial has symmetrically arranged crescent-shaped windows— the left one displays the Chinese lunisolar months, while the right one indicates the Chinese lunisolar days and the moon phase, both consisting of round-tip red retrograde hands, applique filled hour markers and leaf-shaped hands. At 6 o’clock, one will see a Gregorian calendar window, and above which sits an off-centred small seconds counter.

The timepiece is equipped with the automatic HMC 120 calibre, beating at the frequency of 26,000 vph and boasting a power reserve of minimum three days. Finishing the watch is a hand-stitched brown alligator leather with Moser engraved 5N red gold folding clasp.
