Deemed as one of the first greatest successes by the brand, the Luminor Marina adds two new limited editions to its collection, exclusive to the India and the Middle East regions. Introducing the Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days Automatic Titanio Special Edition by Officine Panerai.
Available in two dial colours – the gold of the Arabian Desert i.e. PAM00733 and the brilliant blue of the sea i.e. PAM00734 – the 44mm special editions are available in 100 and 50 units respectively. Both the Panerai dials feature the date at the 3 o'clock position and the small seconds dial at the 9 o'clock position, with large figures for perfect legibility even in the dark.
The back of the Luminor 1950 titanium case has a sapphire crystal porthole which enables the movement of the automatic P.9000 calibre – their in-house movement. The movement comes with a power reserve of three days and is wound by a bidirectional oscillating weight. It has two other very useful functions: the mechanism for stopping the balance wheel when synchronising the watch, and the device for rapidly adjusting the time by moving the hour hand backwards or forwards in one-hour jumps, without interfering with the running of the watch. The case also holds the winding crown which is protected by the bridge device aiding in its protection from shocks whilst also ensuring water-resistance up to a depth of about 300m.
The case comes with a matching titanium bracelet with double curved surfaces and asymmetrical links. The surfaces of the points of contact of the titanium links have a polished finish as compared to the brush look of the surface of the links. The timepiece comes with a second strap option, coordinated with each of the dials – beige textile for the PAM00733 and blue alligator leather for PAM00734.
