Parmigiani Fleurier’s Tonda PF Micro-rotor Platinum now in stone blue

The latest watch in the line is a limited edition of only 25 pieces
Parmigiani Fleurier launched the Tonda PF Micro-Rotor, a stunning two-hand watch in stainless steel with intricate details and a beautiful dial in “Golden Siena”, at Watches and Wonders 2024. Extending the collection, the brand has now launched the timepiece in a new version in full platinum with a “Stone Blue” dial, limited to just 25 pieces, which was created following the principles of Golden Ratio.

The new shade, inspired by Le Corbusier’s colour palette, while discreet is very expressive. It makes for a beautiful background of signature delta-shaped and skeletonized hands and twelve applied white gold hour markers. While the “Golden Siena” dial was adorned with the brand’s Grain d’Orge guilloche pattern, the new Stone Blue hue seen in the latest iteration is accentuated by a sandblasted finish, which highlights the beauty of the understatement even more.

The slim platinum case measures 40mm in diameter and 7.8mm in height, offering a sleek profile on the wrist. Despite its slender form, it boasts a water resistance rating of 100 meters, ensuring durability and resilience. Not to be missed is the knurled bezel that frames the dial as well as the five-row bracelet that features the same combination of polished and satinated surfaces as the case.

At the heart of the Tonda PF Micro-Rotor Platinum “Stone Blue” is the brand’s manufacture movement, PF703, with a power reserve of 48 hours. This self-winding movement, consisting of 166 components and paced at 21,600 vph, is equipped with a micro-rotor, which allows for the slim build of the watch. The tiny yet powerful oscillating mass also made from platinum 950, is adorned with Grain d’Orge guilloche. Other decorations that the sapphire crystal back brings to life are perlage, bevelled bridges, and Geneva Stripes.
